RoofSwap Forum - What should I do to get my home ready for a home exchange?

I'm getting ready to do my first swap. What do you consider the basics for getting my house ready? Do I need to repaint? Get new furniture? Linens? What do you expect when you enter a swap home?

Don't go to a lot of expense. Repair anything that needs it. Clean anything that needs it. Secure your private papers and very high value items (jewelry). Clean the refrigerator and leave just enough food for one meal. If you're also swapping autos, wash, clean, fill and lube your car. Then go away and have a good time.
